EPL Round 25 – full betting preview, best match odds & free tips

IT is round 25 and still Leicester City are flying high atop the 2015-16 English Premier League table.

Their 2-0 win over Liverpool – which featured an absolute worldy from Jamie Vardy – has given them a three-point buffer ahead of their blockbuster clash with second-placed Manchester City this weekend.

Next in the pecking order are Tottenham Hotspur, who downed Norwich City with ease to leapfrog old rivals Arsenal into third spot.

The Gunners were held to a goalless stalemate by Southampton, courtesy of a stunning performance from the recently returned Fraser Forster in the Saints goal.

Manchester United remain fifth after their impressive win over stumbling Stoke City, while West Ham hold sixth following a routine victory over 10-man Aston Villa.

Here are our featured games for week 25 of Premier League 2015-16, with value odds from our top-rated EPL betting sites.

Manchester City vs. Leicester City

12:45pm local time on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Etihad Stadium

Man City – $1.61 (CrownBet.com)
Leicester – $6 (Sportsbet.com)
Draw – $4 (WilliamHill.com)

It’s a top-of-the-table clash at Eastlands this weekend, with Man City looking to knock upstarts Leicester off their perch. The Citizens were well tested against Sunderland in midweek, with a classy Sergio Aguero finish and some fine keeping from Joe Hart all that separated the two sides. They haven’t lost to Leicester in 12 years, but the injury to Jesus Navas could leave them light in midfield against a Foxes side in good touch and high spirits.

Top picks:

– Draw ($4 at William Hill)
– Both teams to score ($1.75 at Bet365)
– Jamie Vardy to score first goal ($8 at Bet365)

Liverpool vs. Sunderland

3:00pm local time on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Anfield

Liverpool – $1.41 (CrownBet.com)
Sunderland – $9 (Sportsbet.com)
Draw – $4.50 (WilliamHill.com)

Both of these sides fell afoul of the current top two during the week. A lacklustre Liverpool were well beaten by Leicester, while plucky Sunderland were unlucky not to get at least a point from their hard-fought clash with Man City. The Reds have hardly been unbeatable at home this season, but they will take heart from the fact they have lost to the Black Cats only three times in the history of the EPL – and never once at Anfield.

Top picks:

– Liverpool to win ($1.41 at CrownBet)
– Correct score 2-0 ($7 at William Hill)
– Jordan Henderson to score first goal ($8 at Bet365)

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Watford

3:00pm local time on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at White Hart Lane

Tottenham – $1.50 (WilliamHill.com)
Watford – $7.50 (Sportsbet.com)
Draw – $4.33 (Bet365.com)

Spurs had a cakewalk at Norwich on Tuesday, with Harry Kane netting two out of their three unanswered goals. Dele Alli went off ill at half time, but the young England star is expected back for Watford’s visit. The Hornets are holding on to ninth spot after securing four points in their last two games – a welcome change form the four straight losses prior. They face a big task this weekend, as they haven’t claimed so much as a single league point at White Hart Lane since 1985.

Top picks:

– Spurs to win ($1.50 at William Hill)
– Spurs half-time/Spurs full-time ($2.22 at CrownBet)
– Christian Eriksen to score first goal ($8 at Sportsbet)

Bournemouth vs. Arsenal

1:30pm local time on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth – $3.75 (CrownBet.com)
Arsenal – $2.10 (Sportsbet.com)
Draw – $3.40 (WilliamHill.com)

Four games without a win has everybody asking whether it’s going to be the same old Arsenal story this season – a question which stoked the ire of Arsene Wenger when broached by a reporter in Tuesday’s post-match interview. Bournemouth are in much better touch, now seven points clear of the drop after three games without a loss. The reverse fixture at the Emirates in December marked the first-ever competitive meeting between these two sides, with the Gunners winning 2-0.

Top picks:

– Arsenal to win ($2.10 at Sportsbet)
– Correct score 2-0 ($10 at CrownBet)
– Alexis Sanchez to score first goal ($7 at William Hill)

Chelsea vs. Manchester United

4:00pm local time on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea – $2.10 (CrownBet.com)
Man United – $4 (WilliamHill.com)
Draw – $3.30 (Sportsbet.com)

Three wins in eight games may not be much to write home about, but Chelsea are undefeated in the EPL since Guus Hiddink reclaimed the reins in late December. And while Manchester United have drawn more scorn than praise under Louis van Gaal’s stewardship, they were a much-improved outfit in the midweek win over Stoke. Recent history is with the Blues, who haven’t lost to the Red Devils in any competition since 2012.

Top picks:

– Draw ($3.30 at Sportsbet)
– Both teams to score ($2.05 at Bet365)
– Anthony Martial to score first goal ($10 at William Hill)
