Liverpool vs. Cardiff City
Saturday, October 27 – 3pm local time – Anfield, Liverpool
Liverpool have recently struggled to replicate the purple patch exhibited at the start of the campaign, drawing with Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League before suffering defeat at the hands of Napoli in the Champions League.
The Reds have however won their last two matches against Huddersfield Town and Red Star Belgrade; winning midweek against the latter by a comfortable margin.
Although Cardiff drubbed Fulham 4-2 in Wales last weekend to register their first win of the current Premier League campaign, Liverpool’s results have been a timely shot in the arm; one on which they will look to uphold in a bid to elevate themselves ahead of Manchester City.
Prediction: Liverpool to win – -833.33 at 5Dimes
Burnley vs. Chelsea
Sunday, October 28 – 1:30pm local time – Turf Moor, Burnley
Chelsea will take their unbeaten run to the North West for a Premier League match against Burnley.
Maurizio Sarri’s blistering start to life at Stamford Bridge came under siege against Manchester United last Saturday, but the Blues equalized in the last minute of injury time to maintain their fine run.
Burnley, currently in the lower half of the table, are quite vulnerable at the moment after a 2-1 defeat to League One side Burton in the Carabao Cup was followed up by a 5-0 pounding by Manchester City in the EPL.
The match may come a matter of days after their Europa League clash with Belarusian side BATE Borisov, but Sarri’s squad rotation should be enough to see them through.
Prediction: Chelsea to win – -250 on 5Dimes
Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal
Sunday, October 28 – 1:30pm local time – Selhurst Park, London
Arsenal is on an impressive run of form after an emphatic 3-1 victory over Leicester City on Monday night extended their winning streak to ten matches in all competitions.
Crystal Palace, in sharp contrast, has struggled to secure maximum points, winning just one of their last six matches in the Premier League; a 1-0 victory away to Huddersfield Town in mid September.
The Gunners are at the moment playing some brilliant bit of football, so much that even a scorching trip to Lisbon in the Europa League will not have a negative bearing on their outcome this weekend.
Prediction: Arsenal to win – -114.94 at 5Dimes
Manchester United vs. Everton
Sunday, October 28 – 4pm local time – Old Trafford, Manchester
Manchester United lost to a first half goal by Paulo Dybala when they played host to Juventus on Tuesday night in the Champions League. The midweek defeat extended United’s unflattering run to just one win in their last four games in all competitions.
Everton on the other hand have won their last three Premier League matches, and the Toffees will without question be looking to knock United off their own perch.
Prediction: Man United or Everton to win – -322.58 at 5Dimes
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City
Monday, October 29 – 8pm local time – Wembley Stadium, London
Quite assuredly the biggest match of the weekend will see Tottenham Hotspur welcome champions Manchester City.
Spurs have of late labored to find the back of the net, winning by just a solitary goal in their last two Premier League matches against Cardiff City and West Ham United, before drawing 2- 2 away to PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night.
The Citizens on the other hand have been bullish in front of goal, with the worst they can seemingly get out of Wembley being a draw.
Prediction: Man City to win or draw – -384.62 at 5Dimes
