It’s been recently announced that Pink will be singing the national anthem at Super Bowl LII, and the bookies are all over it.
Bovada has a number of markets open now on how long it takes her to sing it and her hair color.
|Over 2 Minutes||Under 2 Minutes|
|Time to Sing National Anthem||-175.44||+135|
We have no idea how to even start with this kind of thing, and that’s also the case with her hair.
There are five different markets available, again through Bovada, for the color of her hair where her signature blonde look leads the way.
|Pink’s Hair Color||-303.03||+400||+400||+900||+900|
We’re thinking white/blonde is still a good bet at -300, since she’d need to change it more than 25 percent of the time for it to be an unprofitable bet, and we don’t think she does that.
Rob Gronkowski’s future still up in the air
Aside from the national anthem announcement, the other big story right now is that Gronkowski has not yet been cleared for Sunday’s game. He’s still listed as “limited” on the roster, much to his disappointment.
Every day that goes by without the Patriot’s tight end being cleared to play means that the lines are going to inch down to make the Eagles less of an underdog.
The money lines have moved a little bit at some sportsbooks to adjust for the announcement that Gronkowski won’t be cleared, but the over/under has notably changed half a point at a number of sites as well. These spreads are often a better indicator of where a handicapper thinks a team really is.
- BetOnline.ag has the O/U at 48 with -108/-112
- Bovada has the O/U at 48.5 with -105.26/-112.36
- bet365 has the O/U at 48 with -110/-110
- 888sport has the O/U at 47.5 with -113/-107
This may seem like a standard level of variation between sportsbooks, but at every single one of these four sportsbooks, the O/U was 47.5 within the past 36 hours. This indicates that they think Gronkowski’s going to make it to the game, but they haven’t moved the money line much yet, with the exception of BetOnline.ag as below.
|New England Patriots||Philadelphia Eagles|
They’re inching the line back more in favor of the Patriots, and that’s a definite sign that it’s going to continue to swing more in that direction. If you’re wanting to bet on New England, then this is the time to do so because the odds are going to become more unfavorable for you unless something catastrophic happens inside of the next few days.
What to do if you still want to bet on the Eagles
If you accept that Gronkowski is most likely going to make it to Super Bowl LII and still want to bet on the Philadelphia Eagles, then we strongly suggest that you wait another few days and bet late Saturday or early Sunday before the game. The reason for this is that the line is definitely going to keep moving, and the more it does, the better your payout will be for a bet of the same size if the Eagles win.
