Betting Line: Chiefs -5.5
Over/Under: 58.5 points at 888 Sportsbook
The Chiefs and the Bengals are both atop their respective divisions and will be looking for immediate redemption after losses last week in this big NFL Sunday AFC match-up.
The 4-2 Bengals had won two in a row before their last game, which was a tough 28-21 home loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cincinnati is tied with the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North, but the division is still a wide-open one.
While the stats don’t pop out in terms of passing or rushing yards per game the Bengals do rank sixth in the league averaging 29 points per game. Their defense has been the issue only ranking 23rd in the league in points allowed per game and that is a major concern since they go against a Kansas City offense that is the second highest scoring team in the league.
The 5-1 Chiefs had their bubble burst in their last game losing their first game of the season. They lost to the New England Patriots 43-40 in a barnburner and this is their second week in a row they are playing in primetime on Sunday night.
Patrick Mahomes leads a passing offense that ranks seventh in the league and he has no lack of weapons around him. He may need to use them all and light it up, as the defense for Kansas City gave up over 540 yards in the loss to the Patriots and overall they only rank 27th in the league giving up an average of 28.7 points per game.
These teams have not met since the 2015 season.
This season the Bengals are 4-2 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 4-2 with the Chiefs at 6-0 ATS with an Over/Under record of 4-2.
The Benglas lost to the Steelers in their last game 28-21 where they gave up a touchdown pass with only 10 seconds left and in the second half they only scored seven points. Cincy was actually pretty fortunate to be in the game with Pittsburgh, as they were outgained 481 yards to 275 yards, did not force any turnovers, and they only rushed for 62 yards.
Andy Dalton passed for 229 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the loss to the Steelers and star wide receiver A.J. Green led the team with 85 receiving yards. Joe Mixon led the Bengals rushing for 64 yards on a solid 5.8 yard per carry average and the team needs to feed him the ball more. He leads the team in rushing and after missing a couple of games with an injury he has rushed for 157 yards in his last two games.
Dalton and Mixon may pad their stats in this game facing a Kansas City defense that ranks 27th in the NFL against the pass and 31st against the run.
The Chiefs have struggled on defense last season and gave up 541 total yards in their last game, but they have an offense that can light up the scoreboard. In the loss to New England they scored 31 points in the 2nd half. Patrick Mahomes passed for 352 yards with four touchdowns, but had two interceptions. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce may be the best wide receiver /. Tight end duo in the league and in the New England game running back Kareem Hunt had 80 rushing yards and 105 receiving yards.
Cincy only ranks 28th in the league in pass defense and turnovers will be key for them. Mahomes has passed for over 300 yards in five straight games and has 18 touchdowns, but his four interceptions on the season have come in the last two games.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs betting predictions
The Bengals are a solid team, but the Chiefs are more than that, which they showed in almost beating the Patriots on the road in their last game.
Mahomes will have a big game and Hunt will as well, as KC has too many weapons.
They will give up points, but will score much more, as at home the Chiefs will win and cover the spread.
