Friday night NRL bets and bookie bonuses, Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs

Friday, March 25 from 4:05pm at ANZ Stadium, Sydney.

TWO Sydney rivals square off in this Good Friday fixture and both will be looking to rebound after indifferent Round 3 results.

The Bulldogs ($1.55) fell to the Parramatta Eels 6-20 in a game where they seemed to lack any cohesion and the halves pairing of Josh Reynolds and Moses Mbye wasn’t on the same level it had been to start this season.

The Rabbitohs ($2.45) lost to the Dragons in horrible conditions last Sunday, but the game made headlines for other reasons. Rabbitohs fullback Greg Inglis made one of the biggest blunders we’ve ever seen by attempting a drop goal in the final seconds with his team being down by two points.

Earth to Greg! With that in mind this game promises to be a must-watch Sydney derby where the likes of Inglis and go head-to-head with a young and talented Bulldogs backline at ANZ Stadium.

We will look at the individual player and scoring markets for the Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs with the hopes of making some good cash.

Last Thursday night we tipped out Kane Linnett to score first and he came up big for our followers. Get the best first tryscorer odds at CrownBet.com.au for this Friday’s Good Friday game.

Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs first tryscorer betting and tips

Bulldogs winger Curtis Rona continually gets support in the first tryscorer market, but he hasn’t come up trumps so far this season.

Rona has scored only one try in 2016 yet he remains the top elect from bookmakers at $6. Rona has been at that price in all four games to start this season and we haven’t seen enough to suggest taking those odds. A better pick for Bulldogs punters is fullback Will Hopoate who has scored three tries to date.

Hopoate has looked like his former self this season and the Bulldogs success could rely on his performances. He is currently a $17 chance to score first at CrownBet which is great value and he is our top pick for the Bulldogs. Alternatively, punters can get $3.10 at Sportsbet.com.au for Hopoate to score at any time throughout the game.

Bulldogs first try-scorer options:

Greg Eastwood returns for the Bulldogs*

1. Will Hopoate – $17
2. Curtis Rona – $6
3. Josh Morris – $13
4. Chase Stanley – $17
5. Sam Perrett – $10
6. Josh Reynolds – $20
7. Moses Mbye – $15
8. Aiden Tolman – $51
9. Craig Garvey – $26
10. James Graham – $46
11. Josh Jackson – $26
12. Tony Williams – $26
13. Greg Eastwood – $26

The Rabbitohs will be without the inspirational Sam Burgess after the Englishman was injured last week. They bring in Chris Grevsmuhl and Michael Oldfield to provide cover.

The current tryscoring favourite for the Rabbitohs is Alex Johnston at $9.50. The winger has been setting the field alight this season with four tries in three games and he’s not the only Rabbitohs player that is on a tryscoring tear.

Aaron Gray likes to score in chunks and he has also scored four tries this season. He is another winger which could cross the line first here and his odds of $11 are better value than Johnston’s.

The centre pairing of Bryson Goodwin and Hymel Hunt has scored five tries between them this season and they are both paying good money to score first and throughout the game. Goodwin ($18) looks a handy chance and Hunt looks like value in the anytime tryscoring market at $3.10.

We also think George Burgess will step up in his brothers absence and score a barnstorming try close to the line. He is $41 to score first, but we can see him scoring later in the game at $7.50 with CrownBet.

Rabbitohs first try-scorer market:

1. Greg Inglis – $14
2. Alex Johnston – $9.50
3. Bryson Goodwin – $18 at Sportsbet.com.au
4. Hymel Hunt – $17
5. Aaron Gray – $11
6. Cody Walker – $34
7. Luke Keary – $34
8. George Burgess – $41
9. Cameron McInnes – $26
10. David Tyrrell – $61
11. Paul Carter – $26
12. Kyle Turner – $26
13. Nathan Brown – $51

Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs scorecast bets

We stuck gold last week with Kane Linnett scoring first and the North Queensland Cowboys winning by 13 points or more – that cashed us $17 odds and with full pockets we’re back for another go.

Scorecasting is picking the first tryscorer and the winning margin. It sounds tough, but the odds are tasty if you can correctly pick both options.

We will look at our fancied options of Will Hopoate, Bryson Goodwin and Hymel Hunt. We also need to pick which team will win the game and by how much. The Bulldogs are the head-to-head favourites and they should score the narrow victory 1-12.

Hopoate/Bulldogs 1-12 = $36
Goodwin/Bulldogs 1-12 = $61
Hunt/Bulldogs 1-12 = $61

Goodwin and Hunt are paying significantly more than Hopoate because if they score first the Bulldogs will be less likely to win the game. We still think they’re a chance and punters can back all three options and still make plenty of money.

Goodwin/Bulldogs 1-12 at Sportsbet is our pick of the bunch.
