The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings meet in a big NFC North game between two bitter rivals, both desperately needing a win.

NFL punters looking to sink their teeth into the match will find multiple, quality betting options available.

The Packers are under .500 for the season, which is a surprise, and they have lost three of their last four games. This game is big for them as well as the Vikings, as both are chasing the 7-3 Chicago Bears in the NFC North. Green Bay has lost to some good teams in their last few games, but their defense has been the main culprit giving up at least 27 points in each of the three losses in their last four games.

The Vikings are coming off a five-point loss to the Bears in their last game and they have dropped two of their last three games. They are in the same boat as the Packers losing to some good teams lately, but they need a win in this game to keep pace with Chicago as well as the Wild Card. Kirk Cousins has been pretty good in his first season with the Vikings, but he has not fared well in his career in primetime games, which this NFC North encounter is.

Early in the season these teams met in Green Bay and played to a 29-29 tie.

This season the Packers are 4-5-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 6-4 with the Vikings are at 5-4-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 5-5.

The Vikings have covered the spread in five of their last seven home games facing the Packers.

In their last game, Green Bay was on the road and they lost to the Seattle Seahawks 27-24. They started fast, but only scored 10 points in the last three quarters and the overall yardage with Seattle was pretty even, but the Packers rushed for a measly 48 yards while the Seahawks rushed for 173 yards.

Aaron Rodgers did what he could in the Seattle loss with solid numbers of 340 passing yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. However, he was sacked five times and the run game behind him gave little support. Aaron Jones rushed for 145 yards in the game before the loss to the Seahawks where he rushed for 40 yards.

Minnesota has a balanced defense ranking in the top seven in the league against the pass and the run, However, in their last game facing the Bears they gave up nearly 150 yards on the ground.

The Vikings were in Chicago in their last game losing to the Bears 25-20. Their run game was even worse than Green Bay’s last game to the tune of 26 rushing yards and, overall, they only put up 268 total yards.

Cousins had 262 passing yards in the Chicago loss with two touchdowns and an interception and the wide receiver duo of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen combined for 192 receiving yards. Dalvin Cook led the team with a grand total of only 12 rushing yards and leading rusher for the season Latavius Murray only had five yards on four carries.

The Packers have a little bit of a Jekyll and Hyde defense, as they are great against the pass ranking 5th in the league while only ranking 26th defending the run.

We have watched a lot of football and a lot of Packers’ football and one thing we know is never count out Aaron Rodgers.

He will do just that in this game and Green Bay will cover the spread and also get the win as well.
