Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Houston Rockets

Saturday April 21, 7:30 PM EST at Target Center Minneapolis, MN

The Rockets really have to feel good about where they are in their series with the T-Wolves. Not only are they up 2-0, but they won Game 2 102-82 in a blowout even though James Harden was ice cold only going for 12 points on 2/18 shooting and missing nine of his 10 3-pointers.

Chris Paul and Gerald Green picked up the slack in Game 2 combining for 48 points and while they only shot 36.8% from the floor they still won by 20 points.

Where did Karl-Anthony Towns go? The Minnesota big man averaged 21.3 ppg and 12.3 rpg in the regular season and in the two games in this series he has totaled a paltry 13 points. He and Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins all played poorly in Game 2 and they have to turn it around in Game 3 of they will be in a 0-3 hole.

Have to take the Rockets in this game, as Harden stunk it up in Game 2 and Houston still easily won. They will take a 3-0 lead in the series and go for the sweep in Game 4.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz

Saturday April 21, 10:00 PM EST at Vivint Smart Home Arena Salt Lake City, UT

The Jazz beat the Thunder 102-95 in Game 2 where they outscored Oklahoma City 28-16 in the 4th quarter.

Utah ranks 1st in the league in points allowed and after giving up 116 points and allowing OKC to shoot 48.2% in Game 1 they held them to 95 points on 40% shooting in Game 2.

Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio combined for 50 points in the Game 2 win and while Mitchell will get his points the Thunder have to keep the other Jazz players from scoring big.

The Big 3 for the Thunder in Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook were not so big in Game 2, as they combined to shoot only 19/58 from the floor. That will not cut it, as all three can’t struggle with their shot and hope to win.

In Game 3 the Big 3 will rebound, especially Westbrook and George, and shoot the rock well and the Thunder will take the game in a close contest and also take back home court advantage.
