Leg 1 – Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots

The Patriots are coming off loss where they only scored 10 points in losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many people are starting to jump off of the Pat’ bandwagon, but should they? Yeah, they may not get home field in the playoffs, but in talking about this game with the Bills they are the betting favorite even giving 13 points. They soundly beat the Bills earlier this season in Buffalo 25-6 and the Patriots have covered the spread in their last four games against them.

The Bills will finish this season under .500, but they are coming off a win. Still, they have one of the lowest scoring teams in the NFL and they have not fared well against the Pats in the last few seasons. With a low scoring offense facing a New England team that was held to 10-points in their last game you have to go with the Pats.

Buffalo has the defense, but not the offense and New England is the pick in this game to cover the 13-point spread at home.

Tip: Patriots to cover (-13) at -111.11 with Bovada.

Leg 2 – Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions

The Vikings had lost two straight before a blowout win over the Dolphins in their last game. They have a ½ game lead over the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles for the last NFC Wild Card. Minnesota is the road betting favorite and with good reason facing a sub .500 Lions team they beat earlier in the season at home 24-9.

The Lions are coming off a loss and have lost four of their last five games. The defense has not been bad, but the numbers we are used to seeing from quarterback Matthew Stafford are not there and the team has failed to score over 19 points in their last five games. On top of that, in betting terms for this NFC North matchup, they have failed to cover the spread in five of their last seven home games facing the Vikings.

Minnesota will not squander this chance to stay in the playoff race facing the Lions, who have had far from a roar this season.

Tip: Minnesota Vikings to cover (-5.5) at -111.11 with Bovada.

Leg 3 –Chicago Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have not had a great season, but they are coming off a solid 26-23 home overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks. However, facing the NFC North leading Bears they will take on one of the best defenses in the NFL. Chicago has the NFC North in hand and will make the playoffs, but this game still has meaning.

The 49ers do not have a high scoring offense and they will not put up many points on Chicago. The Bears have an Under record of 8-3 in their last 11 games facing a team with a losing record and look for that trend to continue.

Tip: Under 43 points at -111.11 with Bovada.
