In the first round of the Big 10 conference tournament 7th seed Oklahoma meets the 10th West Virginia in an important match up for both teams.

The Sooners need a win since they are right on the bubble and meet a Mountaineers outfit that finished with a record below .500.

The winner of this game will face second seeded Texas Tech in the next round of the tournament.

To make matters worse Esa Ahmad (12.3 ppg) has been suspended for disciplinary reasons. Lamont West is the only other player for the team averaging in double figures at 10.5 ppg and while he has totaled 28 points in the last two games he was only 8/28 from the floor.
