Mo Salah specials and EPL betting tips as Arsenal host Liverpool

Arsenal is set to play host to Liverpool this Saturday as the English Premier League reaches the half way point with a clustered round of matches over the festive season.

The Gunners, seemingly out of the title race, are looking to elevate themselves back into the top four with a win, as the Jurgen Klopp-managed Reds push for a winning result to keep up with the leading pack.

Arsenal has been lackluster of late. It has only amassed five points out of a possible 12 that include: an inept loss to Manchester United, consecutive draws with Southampton and West Ham and most recently, a feeble win over Newcastle United.

Liverpool on the other hand have been close but no cigar.

Reds supporters have been treated to the swashbuckling trio of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah, but the Reds have struggled whenever they go against sides that sit deep and hit on the counter.

The Merseyside club have run riot at the slightest show of vulnerability, as was the case when they recently galloped past Bournemouth and Brighton with 4-0 and 5-1 wins respectively, but could only salvage draws against West Brom and Everton.

Two wins and two draws in their last four games has Liverpool in fourth with 34 points, a point above Arsenal, which is ideal heading into such a high voltage encounter.

In team news Arsenal still has long-term absentees in Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey while the visitors will be without Alberto Moreno, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic, Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Bogdan.
Both sets of managers will however have a plethora of attacking options for selection, which sets the mood for a mouth-watering tie at the Emirates.

Mohamed Salah odds and specials

Mohamed Salah is without question the Premier League’s signing of the summer. The 25-year old stands head and shoulder above Alexandre Lacazette, Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and the ilk, as he leads the goal scoring charts with 14 goals in the League.

Furthermore, the Egypt international become the first player to score 20 goals in English top flight this season, and looks set for another fine performance on the road.

Match prediction

Since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins of power at Anfield, Liverpool has scored at least three goals in each of its last four meetings with the Gunners.

Arsenal may be overly reliant on Lacazette given recent noncommittal by Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil amid talks of a possible January exit, which is in stark contrast to Liverpool who can count on their dynamic trio, not to mention Sadio Mane.
