NFL Week 6

NFL Week 6

AS we enter week six of the 2018 NFL season, it’s time for punters to take a good look at the first handful of games and begin to put together a clear picture of stats, form and analysis.

This weekend, more than any other this season, provides a number of fascinating NFL betting matches to sift through.

So let’s take a look at our picks for every game on the schedule and sift through our spread betting options.

Be sure to check out our comprehensive betting guides to these two big week 6 matches:

Philadelphia Eagles (-3) vs. New York Giants O/U 43.5

The defending champion Eagles have lost two in a row and in both games had Carson Wentz under center. They have looked out of sync on both sides of the ball, but maybe they can get on track in the Big Apple facing the Giants, who only have one win. Everyone is waiting for last season’s Eagles to show themselves and they will this Thursday night with a win and they will cover the spread.

Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets (-2.5) O/U 45

The Jets snapped their three-game losing streak in their last game putting up 34 points. They host the Colts, who lost to the Patriots last Thursday night even though Andrew Luck looked good. New York rookie QB Sam Dranold will have a good game and lead the Jets to the win and they will also cover.

Carolina Panthers vs. Washington Redskins (-1) O/U 44.5

The Redskins were beaten badly in their last game and host the Panthers, who have the league’s top-ranked rushing offense. Adrian Peterson was injured in Washington’s last game, but will play in this one and the Skins will run the ball well. Because of that they will win and cover moving over .500 on the young season.

Seattle Seahawks (-3) vs. Oakland Raiders O/U 48

The Seahawks had their modest two-game win streak snapped in their last game with a tough two-point loss to the undefeated Rams. The Raiders simply cannot get it together and they lost their last game putting up 10 points after putting up 45 in their previous game. Take Seattle to win and cover in this non-conference affair.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings (-10) O/U 43

The Vikings are coming off a big win over the defending champion Eagles, but still have issues on defense. They face the Cardinals, who have had major issues on offense on the season, but did win their first game of the season in their last one. Minnesota is the pick in this game at home even giving 10 points.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) O/U 57.5

The Falcons have been a major disappointment with only one win and they have lost three straight giving up at least 37 points in each game. The Bucs were embarrassed in their last game losing to the Chicago Bears 48-10 and they have dropped two in a row. Even with the defensive struggles the Falcons are the pick in this NFC South game.

LA Chargers (-1) vs. Cleveland Browns O/U 44.5

Baker Mayfield won his first career start in the Browns last game and the team already has two wins after going winless last season. The Chargers have won two in a row and their only losses have come facing the Rams and the Chiefs, who are both undefeated. Still, Mayfield mania is alive and well in Cleveland and the Browns will win this game.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5) O/U 53

The Bengals have lost four in a row against a Steelers’ team that is coming off their best game of the season. Big Ben and company will show they are still a legit Super Bowl threat with a good road win over the one-loss Bengals.

Buffalo Bills vs. Houston Texans (-8.5) O/U OFF

The Texans have won two straight after dropping their first three games of the season. The Bills are coming off a win where they won with their defense. They have won two of their last three games and while a win may not be in the cards in the Lone Star State they will cover the big spread.

Chicago Bears (-3) vs. Miami Dolphins O/U 41.5

The Bears are, surprisingly, atop the NFC North and they have one of the best defenses in the league. On top of that they put up 48 points in their last game. They head to the Sunshine State to face the Dolphins, who blew a 17-0 lead in their last game losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-17. Take the Bears to win and cover in this non-conference game.

LA Rams (-7) vs. Denver Broncos O/U 52.5

The Rams are undefeated and coming off a tough 2-point win over the Seattle Seahawks. They rank 3rd in the league in points per game and host the Broncos, who have lost three in a row after winning their first two games. The Rams’ express will roll on in the Mile High City by winning and covering the spread over the Broncos.

Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) vs. Dallas Cowboys O/U 40.5

The Jags took a bad loss in their last game where they had four turnovers and gave up 30 points to the undefeated Chiefs. They host the Cowboys, who have been a big disappointment with only two wins through five games. America’s Team will continue to struggle facing the Jags, who have the league’s top ranked defense. Jacksonville will win and cover in this game even in the Big D.

Baltimore Ravens (-3) vs. Tennessee Titans O/U 41

The Ravens only scored nine points in losing their last game in overtime and they head to Tennessee to face a Titans team that had their three-game win streak snapped in their last game. This game will be close and while the Titans may not get the W they will cover in their house.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots (-3.5) O/U 59.5

Wow, what a Sunday Night NBC matchup with the undefeated Chiefs facing the defending AFC champion Patriots. Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm as his first year as a starter in KC, but did throw two picks in his last game. Tom Brady has been decent, but for a change the Pats have gotten good run production and their defense has played well. The Patriots will show they are still the cream of the crop in the AFC, as at home on prime-time they will win and cover the spread.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers (-9.5) O/U 46.5

The Packers are coming off a loss and it was their second in their last three games where they gave up 31 points in each. The offense with Aaron Rodgers has looked out of sync and they face a 49ers’ team that is down to their backup quarterback and has lost three in a row. At home and on Monday night the Packers will get back on track in the win column winning and covering the spread.
