WE’VE got a big weekend of live sport coming up as we transition from a hectic April into an action-packed May.
The A-League Grand Final is the star of the show, but the English Premier League title could also be decided by Sunday night.
The Stanley Cup and NBA playoffs continue in the United States and Canada, while it’s business as usual in Australian football with the AFL, NRL and international Super Rugby.
Let’s check in with our friends at Sportsbet.com.au and see what betting specials and promotions are on offer for the upcoming week in sport.
EPL and A-League multi insurance
After a stunning semifinal round that featured no less than 14 goals, it’s Western Sydney Wanderers and Brisbane Roar who will duke it out this weekend for the most hotly contested A-League title in memory.
There’s also plenty of action abroad: the Champions League semis are underway, there’s only a point between Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in Spain, and Leicester City have a chance this Sunday to seal the most remarkable victory in Premier League history.
With so much top-shelf football betting to indulge in, Sportsbet is offering multi insurance for parlays on matches from the A-League, EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue Un and the German Bundesliga.
If you pick a soccer multi featuring four or more games from any of those leagues, you can get up to a $100 cash refund if you miss out by only one leg.
This deal also applies to all Sportsbet’s EPL Quick Multis.
NRL and AFL betting specials
ANZAC Day was a bit of a bust on the footy front, but this weekend promises some cracking contests in Australia’s premier local codes.
The Western Bulldogs take on North Melbourne this Friday in a tussle for top spot on the AFL ladder, Fremantle go searching for their maiden win at Adelaide Oval, and the wooden spoon battle heats up between Carlton and Essendon.
Brisbane Broncos are the team to beat in NRL 2015-16, and fourth-placed Cronulla Sharks will attempt to do just that on Sunday as North Queensland Cowboys (second) and Melbourne Storm (third) also look to press for top spot.
Sportsbet customers can get insurance on AFL and NRL multi bets of five head-to-head legs or more, with a refund up to $50 cash for wagers that miss by only one leg.
Aussie rules fans can score even more money back specials on AFL matches between now and the end of round eight.
If you bet on any head-to-head market and your team loses after leading at either quarter-time, half-time, or three-quarter-time, Sportsbet will refund your stake up to $50 cash.

25% boost on NBA multi bets
It’s playoff time in the NBA 2015-16, which is great news for anyone who fancies a flutter on the world’s most prestigious basketball league.
Place an NBA multi of four match legs or more during the first round of playoffs to get a winnings boost up to $200 on successful bets.
Four-leg multis earn a 15 per cent boost, five legs get you 20 per cent, and multi bets of six or more legs earn an extra 25 per cent.
So if your winning six-leg basketball multi was paying a $200 standard return, you would collect an extra $50 (25% of $200) on top for $250 in total.
