An elite group of four players leads the way in the 2019 US Open betting markets at Bovada.

Rory McIlroy has firmed into +800 after storming home to win the Canadian Open with a final round of 61.

The Irishman shares that quote with Dustin Johnson, who has already notched a pair of runner-up finishes in the majors this year.

Brooks Koepka (+900) outlasted Johnson on a nervy Sunday at the PGA Championship last month, while Tiger Woods (+1000) edged out both by a single shot at the Masters Tournament in April.

Koepka, who won at Shinnecock Hills last year and at Erin Hills the year before, is aiming to become the first man to win three consecutive US Open titles since Willie Anderson achieved the feat in 1905.

Woods holds fond memories of Pebble Beach, where he won by 15 strokes back in 2000 – still an all-time record in men’s major championships.

The only other player under +1900 in the US Open golf outright betting is Patrick Cantlay, who notched an impressive win at the Memorial Tournament earlier this month.

Former winners in the field this week include Jordan Spieth (+2000), Justin Rose (+2500), Martin Kaymer (+7000) and the 2010 champion at Pebble Beach, Graeme McDowell (+8000).

Best bets for US Open 2019

Brooks Koepka to win – +900 at Bovada
This man is built for major championships. He has won four of them in the past two years. We saw Koepka’s human side in the final round at Bethpage, but that spectacular collapse made the win all the more impressive. If the putter works and there are no disasters off the tee, he will be very hard to beat.

Dustin Johnson to finish top five – +250 at Bovada
After falling just short at the PGA, Johnson now has a career grand slam of runner-up finishes at the majors. When you look at his PGA Tour record and the number of weeks spent at no.1 in the world, it is crazy to think he has only one major title to his name. Expect ‘DJ’ to go close again, maybe even win it.

Patrick Cantlay to finish top 10 – +220 at Bovada
The win at the Memorial could prove a huge turning point for Cantlay, who slew his Sunday demons with a bogey-free round of eight-under to edge out Adam Scott. He also ran third to Koepka at the PGA in tough conditions, so it would be no surprise if he notched another high finish this weekend.

Rory McIlroy for top European player – +350 at Bovada
McIlroy showed glimpses of his best at the Masters and the PGA, but last week’s display at the Canadian Open was something else. With the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Francesco Molinari and Justin Rose all some way short of top form, Rory looks a very good bet to top the table for Europe.

Adam Scott for top Rest of World player – +550 at Bovada
Jason Day and Marc Leishman are widely considered Australia’s best bets these days, but Scott is consistently outplaying both of them this year. He was unlucky not to win at the Memorial and could make a charge this week if he can hole a few putts and avoid that one dodgy round.

Tiger Woods to miss the cut – +380 at Bovada
Woods excelled on the pristine surfaces of Augusta National, but he struggled to cope with the penal rough at Bethpage – another venue where he has tasted major success in the past. Pebble Beach will take no prisoners this week, so Tiger will have to make a lot more fairways than usual to stay in touch with the leaders.
